£10,142 raised in our 10th Anniversary Year

2015 was our biggest year for supporting good causes yet. Whilst we have always raised money for various good causes, we decided that we’d really go for it this year, our 10th Anniversary, and raise £10,000, about double what we normally achieve. We did it, just, raising £10142.

The good causes were very varied, from Help for Heroes, and MacMillan Cancer to our African charity, Light up East Africa. We also raise money for local organisations that support tourism, these include the Jurassic Coast, The East Devon AONB, The South West Coast Path and the South West Tourism Alliance. We mostly do this by holding dinners at our farmhouse, with raffles to extract yet more cash from our generous friends and colleagues. Our social media pages feature these events.

 2015 Totals

Help for Heroes £1,000

Herts Air Ambulance £350

South West tourism Alliance £1500 and £1750

Luxury Travel Auction (BBC Children in Need) £652

MacMillan Cancer £845,  £645 and £1900

South West Coast Path, Jurassic Coast and East Devon AONB £1500

Total £10,142

So far in 2016, we’ve had fund-raising dinners for Light Up East Africa and The South West Tourism Alliance, we have also donated two holiday breaks to Macmillan and one to the Family Holiday Association, via Visit England at the National Awards. Our Macmillan contributions are also helping Premier Cottages, the membership collective that generates most of our bookings, raise £100,000 for Macmillan. Our total for 2016 so far, just over £5,000.
